OTBI Subject Area Anchoring Date
Content
The Time dimension plays an important role in the HCM OTBI subject areas. Generally, the Time dimension includes date, month, quarter, year, month start date, month end date etc in it.
Subject areas with a Time dimension allows the users to analyze measures for a year, for a quarter, for a month etc. For example, a user report such as "what was the number of hires during the years 2014 and 2015" can be created that collects and aggregates the data for these two years by pulling only Time.Year and #Hires measure and applying a filter on Time.Year { Time.Year IN (2014,2015) } .
