BI Report Results Export to Excel Frustration!
Summary
Unnecessarily merged cells wreak havoc on a simple report.Content
Create a BI report with only two columns: 1) course ID and, 2) course description. Run the report and export it to Excel. Examine the output. You will notice that Excel inserts a blank cell right above the course description and then merges the resulting two cells for the course ID. WTF?
This creates a major headache when you have over 500 courses and have to manually fix the rows and cells so you can do simple filtering.
I can't figure out an automated way to clean this stuff up in Excel. Other than fixing the bug in BI Reporting, any other suggestions?
