Processing Change of Hours - Front Loaded Plans

How to re-assess accruals for change of Hours

Content

Hoping someone out there can help clarify this, as I've tried without much success to get an answer out of Oracle Support. I have a front-loaded Accrual Plan using a Global Absence Accrual Formula. I'm aware that if you use a Global Accrual Matrix formula in conjunction with an Absence Event formula you can trigger changes to employee's accrual bands for mid-period changes (e.g. hours change/grade change etc), but is there anything comparable to process changes for a standard Global Absence Accrual Formula? (i.e. no matrix)

For example, if an employee is full time at the start of the year, they receive 200 hours Annual Leave. At the mid point of the year they drop to 0.5 FTE, meaning their entitlement should be adjusted down by 50 hours to 150 hours. I can't see a way currently of processing this change in hours and triggering a re-evaluation of the employee's entitlement when using a Front-Loaded plan with Global Absence Accrual Formula.

Howdy, Stranger!
