Summary

Oracle Fusion Security Best Practices - ERP

Content

How you provision and manage security affects cloud performance. Oracle's fleetscans reveal some interesting points.

I can vouch for best practices from ERP standpoint,

  • Refrain from assigning roles with incremental capabilities. E.g. If you are assigning General Accounting Manager role, you don’t have to assign General Accountant and Financial Analyst role as General Accounting Manager role encompasses the other two roles. Assigning roles with the most access is sufficient.
  • Use General Ledger Data Access Set roles to users. E.g. If data access set A8 includes A1, B3, B4, B5, B6, B7 then user can be assigned only say General Accountant A8 instead of General Accountant A1, General Accountant A3, General Accountant A4, etc. Unless there is need for segregation of roles based on data.

Howdy, Stranger!
