Put YouTube link in a course but it will not mark complete.

Has anyone put a YouTube video in a course? I tried the YouTube functionality(icon) in the wysiwyg editor but it did not display the video. So I have now place the YouTube link directly in the html and it will play. I put that course in a learning plan and can see it fine but it will not mark complete. Any suggestions?
