Re-Hires for onboarding

I have a client where TBE is integrated with PeopleSoft. We've run into a problem with re-hires. We are able to change the integration to recognize employees who are already in PSFT, but I can't work out a way to make sure the re-hired employee is aligned with the correct requisition.

When attempting to create an employee on hire of a candidate, if the employee already exists the conversion stops. I thought we could create a manual work around where the Hired for Requisition ID is updated for the existing employee (along with their new emplyoyment details), but it is not possible to make this editable, so we can't allign the rehire with the correct job code in PSFT.
