Job Aggregators and Associated Reference Locations

Summary

How do job aggregators that automatically scrape an ATS determine city and radius searches?

Content

I know eQuest uses the Associated Reference Location field and the recruiter can update manually at the time of posting if needed, but what about other job site aggregators like Indeed or Glassdoor that could do an automatic scrap of your site? Do you know what they look at as far as the location when they scrape an ATS?

I am curious because I was asked to create a few new cities in our smart org area that are not listed in the associated reference location default list and are probably too small to meet the criteria to be added. I was wondering the correct way to set that up so that the correct city or area search will display on those sites. For example, we have a location in Coral Springs, FL. There is no Coral Springs city or associated reference location in the default list to add so I created a new one, associated it to Ft. Lauderdale

Howdy, Stranger!
