Backdate Restriction

Hello...is there any way to restrict the amount of time that can be used to backdate a termination? So if a manager doesn't terminate an employee in a timely manner and tries to go in and enter a date from a month ago, the system will trigger an error...or otherwise prevent them from being able to enter it?

thanks
