User wants Cost center with balance sheet account

There is a requirement to have cost center with Input Tax on payables invoice which is a liability account. Considering this is not a practice normally followed I would like to know if there will be an application issue if we book cost centers with a balance sheet account. Example if we book 9103 (Business development) cost center with 531001 (Input VAT) Liability account.
