Can we view the position code before approving a change submitted via Manager Self Service

A Manager submits a change for their team such as Promotion or Transfer.  The HR team receive the change request but before approving the change they want to view the Position Code the manager has entered against the change.  Currently, they can only see the Position Name and we could have multiple positions with the same name.  They cannot see this in Workforce Structures as the change has not been approved. 

My understanding is that we cannot add Position Code to the notification which would be our preferred option.  Can anyone advise on a suitable solution?  An initial thought is OTBI but we haven't found any business areas for reporting on transactions in progress.
