Nickname field on User Properties

Looking to identify the location of the Nickname field from the Learn User Properties Screen and if it can be modified

Hello,

I was looking into some alternatives to providing an additional field of information to Learn User Properties short of modifying our supplemental user interface. I noticed there is a Nickname field that appears that I don't believe is a part of our SUI and was hoping I could locate it in Performance/Recruiting and that it was a part of the SmartOrg Synch of basic user information.  Not having any luck finding it.  Does anyone know?  Might it be a TCC only field and modifiable that way?
