Adding Fields to Directory View

We would like to add flex field to show on a person through the directory view.

I would like to ask if you can add Assignment Flex Fields or any Flex Fields really to the directory? We have two critical fields that are used throughout our organization that are currently displayed in other applications. We would like to have this visible in the directory.
