getting odbc error when trying to run dashboard downloaded from Cust Connect

downloaded analytics some time ago from Customer Connect - "sample OTBI Dashboards ran fine - used to run OK - now getting:

Failed to load(Odbc driver returned an error (SQLExecDirectW).) on each filter

 

any ideas?
