Course with an assessment

Setting up a WBT course in learning plan that contains an assessment

All,

We have an assessment attached to a course. And as we are ending this calendar year, I will need to re-set up the same course but re-name it and I want to use the same instance (no changes).  Does anyone know if there are any pros/cons to using the same instance for the same audience/users that will need to complete the new course/learning plan? I'm making an assumption there aren't any issues but wasn't sure if it was a best practice that if we rest up the same course but use a different course name for the new calendar year that
