I'm reaching out to see what other customers have done when they are entering long-term absences in Absence Management and how they are managing the HR and Assignment statuses in Global HR. This is not handled automatically and, with many customers, there are defined business rules to determine at which point and for which absence types an HR status may be set to Suspended (for example) by an HR user.
Do you have processes around adding assignment updates to reflect someone's absence from their job? For those with position management, how do you manage the long-term absence with the position?
