Does anyone know what the Task Manager is for?

Hi -

Can anyone tell me what the task manager is for (Control Panel > Tools > Task Manager). When I click the binoculars next to a particular task, it just gives me a pop up screen that says:

Results: (and then nothing is listed)

Close (which is a link to close the pop up)

What are you supposed to be able to see from this screen? Or what's the purpose of this feature in the control panel?
