Making some learning plans optional in a Job Profile

Has anyone made learning plans optional in a Job Profile? We have a need to assign certain learning plans to a job profile as mandatory and others as optional

We are using Job profiles to hold different technical product support roles in.   As we put in the learning plans,  there are some that are mandatory to meet the basic needs of the Job profile.   There are other learning plans that provide a higher level of knowledge but are not mandatory for the Job profile.   Thus I would love to find a way to make certain Job profiles mandatory and others Optional in a Job profile.   I know you can make some items optional in a learning plan and as such you could in effectmake the
