Add "Sales Region" to User Administration

We have approvals that require a Regional Sales VP to approve for the people under him/her. We have been maintaining this in data tables, but it is a step that is often overlooked in the creation of a new user. It would really be helpful if there was a field in User Administration for a user's Sales Region. Either that, or if you could flag a user's Sales Manager. Or maybe both. Having this field in User Administration would put it in an admin's face when setting up a new user, thus hopefully preventing approval errors down the road.
