Line Item minimum threshold before Grid Paging starts

While 100+ line item quotes are not the norm for us, when a quote does get that large, performance in Commerce suffers noticeably.

Enabling Line Item Grid Paging does alleviate that somewhat, but this is seen as an annoyance for users who want to see all of their line items on one page and who are working with smaller quotes that would only result in a few pages of line items.  Grid Paging is also unnecessary performance-wise for quotes with less than ~50-60 quotes.

Therefore, I would like to see an option to set a minimum threshold before Grid Paging is enabled on a quote.  For example, with a page size of 20 and a threshold of 60, grid paging would not be enabled on a quote until the user reached a fourth page of line items.
