Can Security Roles cause Duplicates in OTBI Analysis?

I have a user who is running a custom Analysis and getting duplicate and triplicate employee records returned.  When I run the analysis I am not able to reproduce these results and only get one row per employee.  I noticed that the employee has the following security roles attached to his record:

 

XXXX_CompensationManager_ViewAll

XXXX_CompensationAdministrator_ViewAll

XXXX_CompensationAdmin_ViewAll

These are custom security roles that are replicated from the delivered roles.  The roles have graduated access to compensation so I am wondering if the redundancy could cause the Analysis to return duplicates.
