Categories and BI Reporting - Learned something new today!
Summary
Remove all mappings before changing category to inactive!Content
Today I found out that what I thought Oracle said about changing the status of a category was not accurate. I thought changing a category to inactive automatically unmapped those items from that category - NOT TRUE. Those categories were wreaking havoc on all my BI reports.
Turns out, you have to unmap all items from the category yourself before you change the status of the category! I thought I had a bug in the system but it was just that those items were still mapped to inactive categories.
Hope this helps!!
