Unable to Submit 1/2 day requests in HCM Cloud Mobile Application.

Is anybody able to submit absence requests for durations other than 8 hours?  I'm trying to submit an absence request but don't see anywhere i can specify the number of hours?  Example, for our vacation or sick plans we can submit increments in hours but when I submit it through the mobile application it always defaults to 8 hours.  Do I have to configure this specifically for the mobile application?  Thx.
