The Sandbox import feature was recently disabled and Page customization can no longer be migrated using that from one environment to another. This leaves 2 ways to migrate customizations

1. Manually perform the customizations in the target environment

2. Using the CSM tool 

We have been using the sandbox import feature till now and we are reviewing the documentation to use the CSM tool. Has anyone used this before and provide some insights and any tips to use this successfully. Any issues encountered will be useful as well
