OTBI - Drill down from Pivot Table

Summary

Looking for advice on best practice to achieve drill down on pivot tables

Content

Hi,

I’m looking for advice please on best practice for how to achieve drill to details on pivot table reports.

Business Scenario

I have created pivot tables in OTBI to sum the number of employees by each performance rating (as entered on performance document), by Division.  We plan to make this available on the Compensation module for managers to view.  All data is secured by the supervisor hierarchy, so managers should only see the totals in their own area.

Requirement

For managers/HR users who view the pivot table to be able to drill to the detail.  For example, if the pivot table counts 6 employees with a performance rating of “Developing” in the “Marketing” Division, the user should be able to click on the value of 6 in the pivot table which would let them open a new page/table/access the line detail of who the 6 employees are.

Howdy, Stranger!
