Finding Active Assignments with Inactive Managers

I need to find Active Assignments where any of the Matrix Managers are inactive. (though I'd settle for line managers)

I could create an analysis of Inactive assignments and use a filter in a separate assignment to look for Manager Assignment IDs (from the worker dimension) in that other analysis.

Can anybody think of a better way to do what I feel must be a really simple request?
