Unable to change Enterprise hire date

Is there a setting that allows users to change the Enterprise hire date?

We have an employee who was hired on the wrong date. Her correct hire date is 1-Nov-2017. However, she was entered with a hire date of 1-Dec-2017. On the Manage Work Relationship task, three of the date fields are open and can be edited. However, the Enterprise Hire Date is not a field that can be edited. Is there a setting for this field that determines whether or not a user can update this particular field? If so, where is it and how do we change it?
