Question: Lynda.com User Authentication
Summary
My company is having trouble establishing cross-domain communication between Lynda.com and our LMS.Content
Our LMS includes courses from a bunch of external vendors, some of which use AICC and some of which use SCORM, some of which we pay for on a per-use basis and others we pay a flat fee for access to the library. For all these courses, learners do not need to sign in to the third party to access the material because there is cross-domain communication between the LMS and the third-party vendor.
We have been talking with analysts at Lynda.com and they seem to think learners will need to sign in to Lynda to access the material, either with a username and password or through one of our SSO providers.
