Completing deleting an absence record

Sickness record entered on incorrect employeeContent
I have an issue where a line manager has added a sickness record against the wrong employee, the sickness has now been withdrawn on the system but the employee and the trade union are requesting that the sickness record is deleted completely. I cannot seen how this can be done via the system, could anyone advise?
