Our Vacation Plan is not a front loaded plan. The amount accrued is based on an employee's length of service, having three bands of accrual values. We ran the accruals through 12/30/18 since 12/31/18 was included in the week of 1/6/19 and caused the date on the Plan Participation page to show as 1/6/19 with only that week's accruals shown. We are short that day for all our employees and will be doing a load to bring everyone up to the exact amount they should have received for the year.
Has anyone else had this issue and how have you handled the shortage? Any suggestions on what we could do differently?
