Skill expiration date

When a skill is completed the expiration date is not being reset and the user continues to receive expiration notificationsContent
We have users that are completing a skill that is due to expire. When they complete this skill the expiration date is not updating to the 365 days. It is remaining the same due date and they are still receiving notifications that they will expire soon. We have not had this issue before but all of sudden started getting inquiries. When i look at the users profile, i show that they completed the course attached to that skill. When i look at the users that have completed the skill under the Skills in Control Panel, iut still shows the previous
