I was recently asked why EPM Cloud and My Services version numbers were not the same, so I thought I would share the explanation.

The short answer is that EPM Cloud and My Services use different version number patterns and update cycles, so they will not be the same. 

In more detail: Provided with EPM Cloud Services is Oracle Cloud My Services portal.  My Services is the administrative hub for EPM Cloud and used for purposes such as managing user access, reviewing service metrics, configuring firewall rules, and more.  Because EPM Cloud and My Services are maintained on distinct update cycles they use different version number patterns.
