After our January patch for R12 was applied in our TEST regions line managers are now able to submit terminations of employees who have future dated rows. Previously this was not possible and the below explanation was on MOS as to how this should work. We also saw no mention of this in our January patch notes which are attached.
1) Line Manager is not allowed to terminate because normally they are not allowed to delete any employment actions.
Manager would get the following message:
You cannot terminate this work relationship because future dated changes exist. Please contact HR Specialist to proceed. Button: OK
