The Reset Context UE can be used to reset Effective Date if you have used Historical User entities which dynamically sets the date for Effective Date context.

In the sample extract the Assignment History data group block utilizes the Extract Assignment Basic History user entity, which resets the Effective Date context.  In this scenario the Reset Context data group is a sibling of Assignment History under the Assignment data group.  This Reset Context data group is executed after the Assignment History data group is executed to reset the Effective Date to the Effective Date specified as a parameter at the time of the extract run.
