Ability to hide "View Payslip" for the direct reports of a Line Manager

Hi all,

We would like to be able to hide "View Payslip" action for Line Managers' direct reports.  We still need the Line Managers to view their own payslip.  

Does this need to be done through customize pages?  If so, what steps would I follow? I have not been able to figure it out using Security.
