Recently, I have been haunted by categories and the mental gymnastics required to manage them – recreating, editing, and reporting for catalog restructuring projects. How can something so wonderful, cause so much mental strain?
My current need – one report with parent/ child category IDs AND names. Oracle did us a huge favor and released the category hierarchy data view (which made me cry out with joy), but it only had three fields... My brain could not handle it. I had to take a short leave of absence to heal my broken heart (aka made a run to Baskin Robbins on my lunch break).
