Delete/Amend first date-effective Assignment record

Hi all,

I have the scenario where a user entering details of a new hire has input the wrong Effective Start Date on the assignment record and has asked me to correct this.  The date entered is 23/02/2018 but should in fact be 05/03/2018.

When I attempted to delete the Assignment record in order to replace with a new one with correct date, I receive the following error:

You cannot delete the selected Assignment record because it is the first date-effective record. (PER-1531098)

Can anyone advise whether it is possible to delete or amend this record?

Update: I have resolved this.  I hadn't realized I needed to delete any future dated assignments before updating the date in Manage Work Relationship.
