We are implementing position synchronization for a Higher Education Institution and we are in design phase for enabling their position synchronization setup.

My understanding of position synchronization is that it has three key drivers. I will request your help to confirm my understanding. 

  1. Position Synchronization set up Date at the enterprise or LE level.
  2. Position Override Flag at the assignment level
  3. Effective Start date of the assignment.

First Scenario :  Negative Scenario

  1. Position Synchronization set up Date at the enterprise or LE level : 1st April 2018
  2. Position Override Flag at the assignment level : Yes for the latest assignment
