Is any feature in inventory to track the pack serial # and its content items serial #s ?

We have a scenario where we have packs of items, each pack is given a serial code and the contents(items) within it are also serial controlled. So we would want to know how can we achieve this within inventory management, something similar to the product genealogy feature in manufacturing cloud. The user should be able to search the contents of any pack with serial number. Any ideas appreciated.
