Absence Requirement urgent help needed

Need help with absence requirement for moving to calendar year plan

Content

We have a requirement to re-implement absence management for US region with following things:

1)Move to calendar year based plans: Best approach to tackle this requirement  and how to take care of current plans data migration, carry-over balances & expiration- auto processes setup.

2)For Canada and UK move from Hours mode of submission to "Days".

Any pointers on above 2 requirements will be of great help.
