    Instead of leveraging the larger, dedicated nodes currently used, leverage smaller VM and BM shapes in OCI

    Use Case and Business Need

    Today BDCS delivers a secure and dedicated cluster leveraging all the features in CDH. The enhancement would be to move the clusters to an infrastructure which enables a choice of nodes, Whether these are VMs in OCI, or bare metal shapes, these would be used to configure a CDH cluster. This should also be an option for edge nodes, as well as auxiliary nodes required for other Hadoop roles or other software assets required around the Hadoop cluster.
