Processes in VBCS

I have created a web application in VBCS and made a form with input fields, mapped to variables of a process. The submit button starts this previously created process with the goal to send the variables to this process. However, when these instances are created, they are only shown in the 'test' area, not in any tasks or processes. Now I don't know if the process is executed correctly, if these variables are even sent. 

Could this have anything to do with the user roles in both VBCS and PCS?
