How does course prerequisites work

Content

When creating a Course, are the prerequisites for a Course only Content Types (competencies), or can you have one Course as a prerequisite before attending the next course.

For example: Excel for Beginners is a prerequisite course for Excel for Intermediate, and it must be completed before the Learner can enroll in the Intermediate one
