Employee to request for a Business Title Change

Self-Service functionality with which employees can request for a Business Title ChangeContent
Has anyone come across a requirement where an Employee needs to log into HCM Cloud to request for a Business Title Change which results in a workflow approval sent to the Line Manager.
Assuming, as recommended by Oracle, we are re-purposing the "Assignment Name" field on the Manage Employment page to be used as an open text "Business Title" field, how do we expose this field on the Personal Information tab and also associate a delivered workflow to it.
Please share your experience in the past dealing with these kind of requests or even a suitable workaround to achieve this business need.
