Unpublished courses appearing in My Tasks widget

Unpublished courses appearing in My Tasks widget

Content

I am trying to recreate or replace the "Courses Started" DO which we use currently to display courses that someone has started but not yet completed.  I used the My Tasks widget and modified the settings so that it would only display courses. However the widget is displaying unpublished courses.  And even more unsettling is that learners can launch and access the unpublished courses.

I do not see a setting in the widget that gives an option to include or not include unpublished courses.

Is this expected or correct behavior for the My Tasks widget?  Has anyone else experienced a similar thing and more importantly, has anyone found a way around this. The My Tasks widget becomes impractical if it's displaying unpublished course and letting learners access them.

Howdy, Stranger!
