Need to extend contract in Employment Data

Hi ,

We have an employee with a fixed contract hired in the system.

Right now we need to extend the fixed contract for this employee which doesn't seem to be working in the system.

Please refer the attached snapshot document for the employment data screens.Let me know where we are going wrong.

Also I need to know if  and how we can end the fixed term contract and add assignment data post the contract end date.

The issue is that we are basically adding contractors in the system as employees and using the single contract single assignment feature to mark them as contractors.
