Approval rule to check for duplicates when adding contacts

Content

Hi Everyone,

Can we create an approval rule for "ADD CONTACT" to check any duplicates.Maybe if it gave them an alert such as ‘contact already exists’ or something like that.  This employee added her contacts SEVERAL times and now I am unable to delete them because they are linked to her benefits.

Please let me know if we can have a rule to identify any existing duplicates of the contacts.

Thanks

Santosh
