Data migration from Prod to Test

I am trying to copy data from Production to Test instance by taking backup of Essbase data. I get a warning message saying 'Essbase data import is only supported during create application'. I already have a test application and dont want to create it everytime I clone my test instance with production data. Is it possible to migrate all data from one instance to another instance in FCCS?
