Error when creating report from XML data source

Hi

I have a new installation of BI Publisher Enterprise 12.2.1.4.0 and I have created a XML data source from a valid XML file. I can view the content of the file by clicking the data tab.

When I try to create a report using the XML data source I get the following error:

Failed to load data source.  /TestData/testdata.xdm, /~weblogic/Drafts/Draftw - Feb 14 2019 9-28-49 AM.xdo, readBusinessViewXML error: Error: undefined:key=Error.Failed to load url

I haven't got a clue why this happens. Does someone have an idea?

It turns out that the cause of the error was a missing sample file.

If I use a SQL data source with no sample file I get the following error:

Error: Data Model does not contain sample data. Please edit Data Model and save with sample data.

I would have expected a similar message for a XML data source with a missing sample file. Where do I report this as a bug?
