Default GL Cost Center from department to the employee assignment

Hello,

 

we are configuring the core HR and Financial modules. We created departments with GL Cost Center associated. When I hired a new employee on this department I expected that the cost center was defaulted but nothing happened. I saw that there is a "Default Expense Account" from which I can select the cost center. Is it correct? Do you know if there is a way to default the cost center?
