Import Costs from OTL to Projects

Question for those who have implemented Project and Payroll Time Entry: we would be looking to import time both to Cloud Payroll and Cloud Project Costing, and I wanted to understand what data is imported on the Projects side. For example, if we had 4 Payroll Time Types, e.g. Standard Time, Overtime at 1x, Overtime at 2x and Overtime at 3x, and the employee recorded hours against each of those Time Types, we know that our rate definitions will populate the monetary value for those elements on import to Payroll.

My question is more from the Projects side :

  • What is imported to Projects? We will have a Project and Task field for each row of time, so the entered time will be associated with the Project/Task, but what is actually allocated - is it just a number of Hours, or does the import process take the monetary value generated in Payroll and transfer it when you have both Projects and Payroll (I'm assuming/hoping the former).
